And it's actually pretty funny.

The movie, like the original, is about two teenage boys embarking on an adventure with the goal to score. They mistakenly believe a female astronaut is asking them to do it with her and agree to go on a NASA mission to space. Things take a turn for the worse when they get launched into a black hole, sending them through a wormhole 24 years into the future to the present day. From here, they continue to search for the female astronaut, who is now a governor running for reelection. While searching for her, they are hunted by a secret faction of the United States government who mistakes them for aliens, and they are also being pursued by the governor who thinks they are out to ruin her chances for reelection.

The humor is typical for the Beavis and Butthead series, with a lot of jokes about butts and wood and so forth. It's not all crude humor, though. Mike Judge is a master of satire, and he makes fun of our 2022 culture using Beavis and Butthead as the straight men.

In one humorous scene, Beavis and Butthead wander into a liberal arts lecture hall where they are told by the professor that they have white privilege and can do whatever they want without consequence. Like any rational person being told something like that, they proceed to act in the only logical way possible: they steal whatever they want and break everything around them.

Among the more simple touches of humor are the various personality quirks exhibited by the supporting characters. For example, the astronaut lady's second-in-command gets cut off by her while introducing himself and nods his head as if to cover his embarrassment with approval of her message. It's almost unnoticeable, but it's a classic Mike Judge joke - he's a master of capturing the subtle habits and behaviors that various types of people are known to do and using them in a way that highlights their absurdity to humorous effect.

Cornholio makes another appearance, as well, this time leading a prison revolution which results in the prison staff supplying the prisoners with more toilet paper. I was hoping to see the "Hank Hill" character from the first movie, but I guess he wouldn't have made it to 2022.

Overall, the movie was a funny and enjoyable addition to Mike Judge's work. I recommend it.
