Normalmente, los lunes no trabajo en mi videojuego. Los fines de semana son mis días mas productivos para trabajar, y es común que para la noche de Domingo he laborado una docena de horas en mi proyecto. Para que no me canse, he decido que sería mejor si no trabajara los lunes.

En vez de trabajar en mi juego, suelo leer un libro, crear una canción, o nada mas descansar. Es una estrategia para quedarme listo y lleno de energía para trabajar por la semana. 

Pero hoy día, decidí que voy a empezar una tarea nueva: voy a tratar de escribir en español. También voy a hablar español. La verdad es que puedo leer bien, pero nunca escribo y jamas hablo. Por eso, no puedo decir con confianza que domino el español.

Las últimas dos semanas he trabajado en mi videojuego cada día, menos los lunes. También he escrito cada día en mi blog. Nunca he pensado que seria el tipo que disfruta mantener un blog, pero la verdad es que si me gusta. Hoy estoy decidiendo que voy a escribir en español cada lunes por un mes, y también voy a hablar en español con mi esposa cada dia. Estoy determinado a dominar el español. El éxito que he tenido en escribir cada día me da confianza que voy a cumplir esta meta. ¡Los días de no hablar ni escribir español ya no existe jamas!

Normally, I don't work on my video game on Mondays. The weekends are my most productive days to work, and it's common that by Sunday night I've put a dozen hours into my project. In order that I don't burn myself out, I've decided it would be better if I didn't work on Mondays.

Instead of working on my game, I often read a book, write a song, or just relax. It's a strategy for keeping myself ready and full of energy for working throughout the week.

But today, I decided that I'm going to begin a new task: I'm going to try to write in Spanish. I'm also going to speak Spanish. The truth is that I can read well, but I never write and never speak. Because of that, I can't say with confidence that I know Spanish fluently.

The past two weeks I've worked on my video game every day, except for the Mondays. I've also written every day in my blog. I never thought that I would be the type who enjoyed maintaining a blog, but the truth is that I do like it. Today I'm deciding that I'm going to write in Spanish every Monday for a month, and I'm also going to speak in Spanish to my wife every day. I'm determined to become fluent in Spanish. The success I've had in writing every day gives me confidence that I'm going to be successful in this goal. The days of not writing or speaking Spanish no longer exist!

I'm not going to be super careful about my Spanish grammar when writing, nor am I going to rely on using Google translate. Everything I write in Spanish is a marker for where I am in my progress. For context, this is the first thing I've written in Spanish in years. I do read in Spanish often, though.

I'm going to be keeping track of my Spanish language learning progress here in my blog. I'm going to be open about it. I won't make any major corrections to anything I've written if I later come back and read it; the exception will of course be if I had inadvertently said something vulgar.
