John Wick 4
It was a good movie, maybe the best of the series since the first, based purely on the spectacle.
But I wouldn't recommend it at all for people who have no idea what a John Wick movie is.
The movie doesn't give the audience a clue as to who John Wick is or why we should care about him. Taken as a standalone film, we can only conclude that he's some kind of assassin who is being hunted by other assassins and wants to kill everyone who keeps sending the assassins after him. And at some point a rule was broken, but that's never explained.
The movie is good only for John Wick fans. And for that audience, it's awesome.
Non John Wick fans can only see it for what it is - a psychedelic nightclub filled with tightly choreographed fight-dance.
And that's why we love it.
