Shakespeare Challenge Update: End of Week 2
Today is the final day of week 2 of my challenge to read all of Shakespeare in a month. I'm about halfway through the month and just slightly less than halfway through the book. Here's what I've read so far:
- King Henry VI, Part 1
- King Henry VI, Part 2
- King Henry VI, Part 3
- King Richard III
- Titus Andronicus
- The Comedy of Errors
- The Two Gentlemen of Verona
- Love's Labour's Lost
- Romeo and Juliet
- A Midsummer Night's Dream
- King John
- The Taming of the Shrew
- King Richard II
- The Merchant of Venice
- King Henry IV, Part 1
- King Henry IV, Part 2
- King Henry V
- Much Ado About Nothing
It's hard to believe I'm halfway through all of it. But, I'm not even reading at a fast pace.
The rate is 32 thousand words per day. At that rate, it would take 54 days to finish all 5 books of A Song of Fire and Ice. And, for context, I know someone who read all of them in a month. So yeah, this isn't a bragging contest or anything. I just want to finish it.
I've been taking pictures of sections that I enjoyed. I'm not reviewing anything right now because I'm finding myself rushing through the day just to finish reading in time. When it's over, I'm sure I'll be writing about it quite a bit on my other site.
