Super Flower Blood Moon Eclipse
It seems every time there is a "once in a lifetime event" in astronomy, I miss it. For whatever reason, whether due to clouds, timing, or forgetting, I'm never able to enjoy the event.
Tonight, however, I was finally able to enjoy the Blood Moon Eclipse. The timing was right, the weather wasn't too bad, and I didn't forget.
It was pretty spectacular. It was both beautiful and terrifying to see the normally bright pearl in the sky become a crimson, dark, and ominous figure.
I don't take these things as bad omens. I figure the sun and moon are just taking advantage of lining up to talk to each other. How often do they get to do that? Only a few times a year, I guess. I'm sure the moon was turning red because the sun said something that made her blush.
